If Your Life Was A Book
This post will be very short, because I want more feedback from you this time. Part of being a man is learning more about your fellow man. So I have a question:
If your life was a book, what book would it be? In asking that question, I’m assuming that you all read something other than a sports page or one of those cheesy gossip magazines.
Now, don’t go claiming the Bible or Koran, thinking that you’re blameless and upright like Job. If you do, when the lightnin’ bolt comes and zaps you square in the forehead, don’t say you weren’t warned.

I could try to play it cool and say the book that would describe me best would be “Pimp: The Story of My Life” by Robert Beck (aka Iceberg Slim), but honestly, I stopped pimpin’ a while ago. Don’t hate the playa, hate the game.
If I had to pick a book, it would probably be “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” by Robert Louis Stevenson. Everyone has two sides to them, and depending on the situation, one side takes over. For s
ome it takes a confrontation to bring that side out. For others, it’s dark liquor. Some people are just naturally assh*les and act like that all the time.
So, if your life was a book, what book would it be? Feel free to comment.

If I had to pick a book, it would be Execution – The Discipline Of Getting Things Done.
Then again, these days my life seems more like a reality TV show with an odd concept and bad ratings. Something like if the Amazing Race were only set in Atlanta and crossed with Survivor and The Apprentice.
Hopefully the new year will be better for your and bring you everything you are looking for. You should at least get a lapdance out of the deal.
I would go with Why Should White Guys Have all the Fun primarily because my formative years were spent copying off what Reginald Lewis said he would concentrate on.
I read this book too. A very good read. I forgot all about that one. I think I’ll pick it up again and re-read it. Sometimes to get back on track, you have to retrace your steps.
Very easy: The Count of Monte Cristo. Betrayed by “friends” under false pretense, sent to jail, robbed of my entire life, only to come back, get revenge and now I live phat.
I’m sure there a story behind that. You’re a pretty interesting person, so I’m sure it would be an interesting blog (just a thought). I loved 2002 remake with James Caviezel, one of my favorites.
Instead of a book, how about a song? “What you see is what you get” by Xzibit has pretty much always been my motto.
I remember that song. Direct, to the point. I like it.
I would relate to the book: A Hustler’s Wife. I can relate to Carnie.
